Group Critical Illness Insurance & Critical Illness Insurance Benefit Rider
For those with a family history of heart-attack, cancer or stroke, Group Critical Illness Insurance is a way to offer lump sum coverage for members to be able to visit out-of-network providers, help pay for some out-of-pocket expenses like deductibles and coinsurance that might occur with member's comprehensive health insurance plan. With this lump sum benefit, members can also help to pay for experimental treatments that members might want to participate in. Many optional supplemental UBA Gap Products include Group Critical Illness Insurance or a Critical Illness Insurance benefit as part of the Group Hospital Fixed Indemnity Insurance (depending on product and state). For full details, definitions of covered critical illnesses, limitations & exclusions review product Certificate(s) of Insurance.
